Carol Gordon MSc, BSc (Honors) is a UK national who has been working in the mental health and addiction fields for over 20 years. She has a Masters Degree in medical law and ethics and she also holds a combined Bachelors degree in Psychology and Sociology and has completed postgraduate studies in psychotherapy at the Berne Institute and Elan Training. She has worked in Thailand for over 4 years in drug and alcohol rehab services as a therapist and Program Manager.
Prior to coming to Thailand Carol worked as Community Manager in a specialized therapeutic community in the UK, working with people with a diagnosis of personality disorder, schizophrenia, depression and bi-polar disorder along with addiction issues.
Her background is Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, training at the University of Birmingham and in Manchester. Carol also spent 7 years serving in the British Army in the Royal Signals regiment.
One of Carol’s interests is the use, and benefit of using, mindfulness and meditation to help people to improve their mental, physical and spiritual health.
