If you’re suffering from your use of alcohol and you can’t cut down or stop drinking altogether, you have an alcohol addiction. A person with an alcohol addiction may or may not be physically dependent on alcohol. People who haven’t developed physical dependency to alcohol can still be addicted: that is, they can’t control, cut down or stop using, even when drinking alcohol is negatively impacting their life. (Having a physical dependency to alcohol means physical withdrawal symptoms, which can range from mild to severe, will occur once the drinking is abruptly stopped after heavy and prolonged use.)

Drug and Alcohol Rehab Options: Why Choose DARA
If drugs or alcohol are impacting you’re life negatively, and you can’t stop drinking or using drugs on your own, a recovery & rehabilitation treatment center and professional help can provide you with the right tools to help you stop. There are two main choices in seeking drug and alcohol services: inpatient treatment and outpatient treatment. With inpatient treatment, you become a resident at the rehabilitation center, living and partaking in therapy on-site. This type of setting gets you away from your triggers (to drink) of people, places, and many things; has help available 24/7; and is, of course, a 100% alcohol free environment. Outpatient treatment consists of visiting an outpatient treatment center for therapy sessions throughout the week for as long as therapy is prescribed (for example, 3x / week for 10 weeks).
Inpatient Rehabilitation Center
DARA Drug and Alcohol Rehab is an inpatient rehabilitation center. Our counselors have many decades of experience in both alcohol and drug rehab treatment.
Our location is governed by ITM (Integrated Treatment Model). Some of the modalities used in ITM at DARA include but are not limited to:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Rational Emotive Therapy
- Transactional Analysis (TA)
- Relapse Prevention Therapy (including a Relapse Prevention Track for certain clients)
- Schema Therapy
- Motivational Interviewing
Clients also received concurrent treatment for co-occurring mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We have certified dual diagnosis clinicians on staff who are experienced in treating many types of mental and behavioral health issues that are present along with a drug, alcohol or processing addiction. Clients with active suicidality, paranoia or delusional behaviors, however, are not appropriate for the level of care provided at DARA.
Traveling to Thailand for Alcohol and Drug Rehab at DARA Is Convenient
Various Middle East – based airlines service flights from the Middle East to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport (e.g., Qatar, Emirates, Royal Jordanian, Kuwait Airways). Length of time will, of course, depend on your country of departure. As an example, Emirates provides a 6-hour nostop flight from Dubai, UAE to Bangkok.
